Introduction

This blog is about the process of learning how to cook from a novice level. I love food, but I’m a novice at cooking. I believe that cooking is an invaluable skill in life because food is something we need every day! Being able to whip up a delicious dish on my own and have other people also enjoy it is something I want to accomplish. One purpose of this site is to inform people more about the details of cooking. After watching cooking shows, I found that there’s much more to cooking than just combining and cooking ingredients together. For food to be good, it has to be pleasing to all the senses and it has to have proper care and attention. Another purpose of this site is to make it a place where people can ask questions and give advice. The world is vast and so are its cooking techniques. There are so many different types of food out there, and they’re all made in completely different ways. The only way to better understand all of them is from learning from the experience of others. The end goal is to show the growth and progress of my cooking endeavor and show people that anyone can cook. As I explore the culinary world, I’ll share about the different recipes and cooking techniques that I cultivate to elevate my culinary skills to a higher level. I will look through cookbooks, test recipes, and browse online. I will make mistakes and fumble, but I’ll adapt from those mistakes and become better.  The audience for this blog is for anyone willing to learn how to cook or anyone who has the experience and would like to share their knowledge.
